Meet The Owner

Hello my name is Vera Cosby I created Pretty & Polite Pets to be a very different kind of grooming. I've been grooming since I was a young kid growing up in Four-H. We bread, raised and showed over 200 rabbits as well as we owned chickens, ducks, dogs, cats, reptiles and two tarantulas lol. So, I learned how to train, medicate and care for a wide variety of animals fulling my passion for all animals and wildlife.

I started my first pet training business when I was 10, walking door-to-door, training almost all my neighbor's pets. I got so good my grandfather made me real business cards and helped me create the slogan "A Well Trained Dog Is A Happy Dog!" so after he passed and I built Pretty & Polite Pets Grooming & Training, I decided to devote my slogan to him and add "A Well Groomed, Well Trained Dog Is a Happy Dog!!"

It's so true! I went to Training Academy for Grooming, worked for corporate as well as for a Vet whare learned so much, along with the problems pet parents face when coming to Grooming or Boarding. I wanted to make a difference not only for the pet parents but for their fur babies as well. So, we strive to focus on always improving the Grooming & Boarding services while not breaking the bank.
